DRDO The Defence Research and Development Organisation was founded in 1958. Its parent agency is the Ministry of Defence and the agency executive is Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy (Chairman of DRDO) The headquarters is in New Delhi. It is India’s largest and most diverse research organization. Around 30,000 employees including 5000 scientists are working in DRDO.

Positions :- Technician/Graduate Apprentice

Job Location :- Chandipur, Odisha

Stipend :- 

  • Graduate Apprentice – Rs. 9,000/- pm
  • Diploma Apprentice  – Rs. 8,000/- pm

Qualification :- 

Technician (Diploma) Apprentice:

  • Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Science/Communication & Computer Engineering/Computer Science & Information Technology/Computer Science & System Engineering/Computer Technology/Information Technology/Information & Communication Technology/ Information Science & Engineering
  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation Technology/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/Applied Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Instrumentations Control Engineering/Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Computer Engineering/Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering/Electronics (Robotics)/Embedded System
  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology/Cinematography/Electrical Engineering

Graduate (Degree) Apprentice:

  • B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Science/ Communication & Computer Engineering/Computer Science & Information Technology/ Computer Science & System Engineering/ Computer Technology/Information Technology/Information & Communication Technology/ Information Science & Engineering/Computer Science & Engineering

  • B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering/Safety Engineering
  • B.Lib.Sc in Library Science, BBA in Administration / HR, & B.Com in Financial Accounting/Cost Accounting.

Notes: 

  • The candidates who have passed their B.E/ B.Tech/ Diploma/ BBA/ B.Com degree in the year 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 are eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination earlier than 2021 are not eligible.
  • Candidates with post graduate qualification are not eligible to apply.
  • Those candidates who have completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are only eligible to apply.
  • B.E/B.Tech / Diploma/BBA/B.Com degree holders who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the essential qualifications shall NOT be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the act.

Duration: The period of training will be 12 months commencing from the execution of the contract of Apprenticeship.

    • B.E /B.Tech: 22 Posts
    • B.Lib.Sc: 02 Posts
    • BBA: 04 Posts
    • B.Com: 04 Posts
  • Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: 22 Posts

Selection Process :-

  • Selection will be made on the basis Written Test/ Personal Interview/ Both for shortlisted candidates only.

Notes :-

  • The application form should be typewritten. Handwritten Application, except signature, will not be accepted.

How to Apply :-

All Interested and eligible candidates can send their typed application along with the self-attested photocopies of documents (all educational mark sheets, Certificates (10th, 12th, Diploma, B.Tech/BBA/B.Com), Caste Certificate & Identity Proof) to the mentioned postal address by Speed Post / Registered Post on or before 20 October 2025. B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/BBA/B.Com candidates must have registered their names in the NATS portal.
