Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL) was incorporated as ‘Tebma Engineering Private Limited’ on July 09, 1984 as a private non-government company. Subsequently, the Company became public and changed the name to ‘Tebma Shipyards Limited’.
Position :- Diploma Engineering Trainee
Job Location :– Malpe, Udupi
Salary :-
- Training Period (2 Years):
- 1st Year: Rs. 20,000/- per month
- 2nd Year: Rs. 23,000/- per month
Qualification :-
- Mechanical: Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Mechatronics, Tool & Die Making, Marine, or Industrial Engineering.
- Electrical: Diploma in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics (EEE), Electronics, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
- The minimum qualification stipulated for the posts must be from a Institute/Examination Board recognized by AICTE/ appropriate statutory authority/State/Central Government.
Total Vacancies :- 16 Posts
- Diploma Engineering Trainee (Mechanical): 12 Posts
- Diploma Engineering Trainee (Electrical): 04 Posts
Age Limit (As on 18 December 2025) :-
- The upper age limit prescribed for all the posts shall be 25 years i.e. applicants should be born on or after 19 December 2000.
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates only for consideration to the posts reserved for the respective categories.
Selection Process :-
- Only candidates who are domicile of Karnataka shall be considered for Short-listing of candidates.
- The method of selection for the posts shall be through Online Written Tests (Objective Type test and Descriptive Type Test) which shall be conducted out of 100 marks and marks awarded accordingly
- Online Written Tests (Objective Type test and Descriptive Type Test) shall be held at various test centres in Karnataka as decided by UCSL and test centres shall be allotted based on the number of online applications.
- Applicants have the option to choose test centres in Karnataka for Online Written Tests (Objective Type test and Descriptive Type Test), while completing the online application.
- The mark list for each post shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the Phase-I&II – (Objective Type test and Descriptive Type Test), online test.
