Salary :-
- Field Engineer: ₹ 30,000-3%-1,20,000/-
- Field Supervisor: ₹ 23,000-3%-1,05,000/-
Qualification :-
Field Supervisor (Electrical):
- Full Time Diploma in Electrical or equivalent discipline from recognized Technical Board / Institute with minimum 55% marks.
- Higher technical qualification like B.Tech. / BE / M.Tech. /ME etc. with or without Diploma is not allowed.
- Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical)
- Experience: 01 Year
Field Supervisor (Civil):
- Full Time Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Technical Board /Institute with minimum 55% marks.
- Higher technical qualification like B.Tech. / BE / M.Tech. /ME etc. with or without Diploma is not allowed.
- Experience: 01 Year
Field Supervisor (Electronics & Communication):
- Full time Diploma in Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Information Technology or equivalent discipline from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 55% marks.
- Higher technical qualification like B.Tech. / BE / M.Tech. /ME etc. with or without a Diploma is not allowed.
- Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/Electronics & Electrical Communication/ Telecommunication Engineering
- Experience: 01 Year
Field Engineer (Electrical):
- Full-time B.E /B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg.) in Electrical discipline or equivalent discipline from recognized University / Institute with minimum 55% marks

Age Relaxation:
- For OBC(NCL) 3 years (for the posts reserved for the respective category)
- For SC/ ST 5 years (for the posts reserved for the respective category)
- PwBD 10 years for UR/EWS; 13 years for OBC(NCL) & 15 years for SC/ST (for the posts reserved for the respective category)
- Ex-Servicemen/ DESM As per Govt. of India directives, Ex-Servicemen with a minimum of six month’s continuous service are allowed relaxation to the extent of period spent in service, subject to the condition that the resultant age after deducting the period of service from the actual age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years.
- Victims of riots As per Govt. of India directives
Selection Process :-
- Interested and eligible candidates shall register for POWERGRID – Common FTE Written Test-2025. Candidates will have to meet all the eligibility criteria, including one year of relevant post-qualification experience, as on the last date of online registration.
- The written test for all the provisionally eligible candidates will be conducted for all the posts on PAN India basis in a single day.
The scheme of the test shall be as follows:
- The test would be of 1 hour duration (Extra time will be allowed to PwBD/ PwD candidates as per the Govt. of India directives)
Sections and Number of questions:
- Technical Knowledge Test – 50 questions based on B.Tech / BE/ Diploma (as applicable) syllabus in the relevant discipline.
- Aptitude Test – 25 questions tentatively on the following topics:
- General English: Articles, Prepositions, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Synonyms/Antonyms, Jumbled Sentences.
- Reasoning: Data Interpretation, Coding and Decoding, Deductive Logic, Inductive Logic, Data Sufficiency, Series Completion, Puzzles, Pattern Completion.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Speed & Distance, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Percentage, Average, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Geometry, Algebra, Probability, LCM & HCF, Numbers
- General Awareness: Social Science, Science, Current Affairs, General Knowledge.
- All questions would be MCQ type with 4 options and carry equal weightage (1 mark each) and there shall be no negative marking.
- Qualifying marks would be minimum 40% for Unreserved including EWS and 30% for reserved vacancies (subject to reservation of vacancies).
- Candidates shall have the option to appear in the Common FTE written test in Hindi or English.
- Centres for the Common FTE written test shall be pan-India, and the date of the test shall be intimated separately to the applicants after basic scrutiny of the application. The right to allocate centre/venue shall be reserved by the Management.
- After completion of written Test process, the written test score in the form of score card will be available for all the Candidates in their respective candidate login.

- Field Supervisor: ₹ 300/-
- SC/ST/PwBD/ExSM are exempted from payment of Application Fee
