Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER) is a premier RF & Microwave Research and Development Laboratory under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

Position :-

  • Technical Assistant – A: 9 Posts
  • Technical Assistant – B: 6 Posts
  • Technical Assistant – C: 1 Post
  • Technical Assistant – D: 5 Posts
  • Scientific Assistant: 6 Posts
  • Scientific Officer – A: 9 Posts

Job Location :- Mumbai, Chennai, Vizag, Guwahati & Kolkata

Stipend :-

  • Technical Assistant – A: Rs.19900/-
  • Technical Assistant – B: Rs.21700/- 
  • Technical Assistant – C: Rs.25500/-
  • Technical Assistant – D: Rs.29200/-
  • Scientific Assistant: Rs.35400/- 
  • Scientific Officer – A: Rs.44900/- 

Qualification :- 

Technical Assistant – A:

  • SSC or its Equivalent
  • ITI certificate (two years’ full-time) in the Trade of turner, fitter, machinist and mechanical (electroplater, welder (gas & electric).
  • National Trade Certificate in the Trade awarded by NCVT and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).

Technical Assistant – B:

  • SSC or its Equivalent
  • ITI certificate (two years full-time) in the Trade of turner, fitter, machinist and mechanical (electroplater, welder (gas and electric), electronics mechanic.
  • National Trade Certificate in the Trade awarded by NCVT and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
  • Post Qualification Experience: Two years

Technical Assistant – C:

  • SSC or its Equivalent
  • ITI certificate (two years full-time) in the Trade electronics mechanic
  • National Trade Certificate in the Trade awarded by NCVT and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).

Technical Assistant – D:

  • SSC or its Equivalent
  • ITI certificate (two years full time) in the Trade of turner, fitter, machinist, plumber, draughtsman, mechanical, electronics mechanic, instrument mechanic.
  • National Trade Certificate in the Trade awarded by NCVT and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
  • Post Qualification Experience: Six years

Scientific Assistant:

  • Diploma (full-time) in Electronics, Communication or B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Electronics from a recognised Institute.

Scientific Officer – A:

  • Diploma (full-time) in Electronics, Electrical, Civil, Communication, B.Sc. in Physics, Electronics from a recognised Institute.
  • Post Qualification Experience: Four years’ experience

Age Limit(As on 31 October 2025):

  • Technical Assistant – A: 25 Years
  • Technical Assistant – B: 27 Years
  • Technical Assistant – C: 28 Years
  • Technical Assistant – D: 30 Years
  • Scientific Assistant: 25 Years
  • Scientific Officer – A: 28 Years

Age Relaxation:

  • 05 Years: SC/ST
  • 03 Years: OBC
  • 10 Years: PWD (additional 5 years in case of SC/ST & 3 years in case of OBC
  • Ex-serviceman Length of service in Armed forces plus 3 years (additional relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC as per the instructions of Govt. of India.

Application Fees :-

  • Candidate shall pay the application fee of Rs.500/-
  • SC/ST/Women Candidates/Persons with Disabilities/Ex-servicemen candidate shall pay the application fee of Rs.100/-

Selection Process :-

  • All candidates will appear for Stage-I – Written test – (Computer Based Test) and only shortlisted candidates will be called for the next stage of selection.
  • Shortlisted candidates from the Written test – CBT will be called for the Stage-II – Skill/Trade test at the ratio of not less than 1:10 per post or as decided by the competent authority.
  • Based on the performance of the written test and skill/ trade test, the merit will be drawn with a weightage of 60:40 respectively.
  • The written test (Computer Based Test) shall be conducted in various cities only subject to a minimum number of candidates. However, the skill/ trade test will be conducted at any one of the SAMEER centres, which will be intimated to the candidates in advance.
  • No request for change of centre and date will be entertained.
  • Resolution of Tie Cases:- In cases where more than one candidate secured equal aggregate marks in Written test/Skill/Trade test, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another in the given order till the tie is resolved:
  • Marks in Stage – I.
  • Marks in Stage -II.
  • Date of birth i.e. the candidate older in age gets preference.
  • Alphabetical order of the names
