CSIR SERC Apprentice Recruitment 2026: CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC), Chennai has announced a notification for the ITI Trade and Technician (Diploma) Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961. There are 29 vacancies available for the Apprentice positions. Candidates with the qualification of ITI / Diploma are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview on 20 May 2026. The detailed eligibility and selection process for CSIR SERC Apprentice vacancies are explained below.

Job Location: Chennai – Tamil Nadu
Stipend:
- ITI Apprentices – ₹10,500 per month
- Diploma Apprentices – ₹12,000 per month
Qualification:
Trade Apprentice:
- ITI in Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Draughtsman (Civil), Wireman, Plumber, PASAA/COPA, Welder (Gas & Electric), Mason
Technician Apprentice:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering
- Diploma candidates passed in 2022 / 2023 / 2024 / 2025 are eligible.
